READ THIS CHAT SESSION: of HP trying to "bail out" on their Warranty obligation/s. Read as this third world HP employee lies through her teeth about who's responsibility it is to deal with this rattling cdrom of mine. This G71-340us laptop, was purchased 58 days ago, and according to her, it is Office Depot's responsibility to fix it. Needless to say, I contacted O/D and got the answer I expected: "they're full of it, it's under Their warranty for the first year (completely)". Duh! Again, HP is unwilling to come forward with direct honesty, and fulfillment of warranty. Little do they know .... the rattle doesn't bother me much at all; I just wanted to document their B/S chat on line - and here you have it.
